Bury the Past

What is gone is gone.

what is past is past.

Why do we linger on the things we do not have?

We tend to get stuck.

In this awful rut

of self-loathing and despair.

We focus on too much of what we did

instead of looking forward to what we are going to do.

We stall progress by being over critical

of things we cannot help anymore.

It is gone,

it is buried beneath time past

and cannot be dug up again.

when we change our mindset

to look towards the sky

we tend to achieve more

thank just looking down,

back

or behind.

Grey

What is grey when it isn’t a color?

Is it a feeling?

Or how about a space in the middle?

Does it define the undefinable?

and put into place the things that have no place?

Maybe it is a mood?

Or a taste?

It is not appetizing to see on your food.

and can make people walk on eggshells.

A grey life sounds quite grey.

Cusp

The Cusp is transitional in nature.

It rides the fence between two opinions.

It is the point right before a decision is made to change direction.

It is the top of the roller coaster before the first drop.

It can be the height of excitement,

and the source of anxiety.

Being on it can leave you in suspense,

and for some it means resolution to a past.

Some break through it,

Some fall short.

All have been at some point

on the cusp.
