Bury the Past

What is gone is gone.

what is past is past.

Why do we linger on the things we do not have?

We tend to get stuck.

In this awful rut

of self-loathing and despair.

We focus on too much of what we did

instead of looking forward to what we are going to do.

We stall progress by being over critical

of things we cannot help anymore.

It is gone,

it is buried beneath time past

and cannot be dug up again.

when we change our mindset

to look towards the sky

we tend to achieve more

thank just looking down,

back

or behind.

Meddle

Nowadays meddling has become an issue, much more than in the past. The crazy thing about is though, we allow it, and we make it easy for others to get into our business. Now I’m not all for having a ton of secrets but everyone doesn’t need to know every aspect of my life. Many of us give out all this information freely without even realizing it. Once you start posting every little thing you are doing online, whether it is Facebook, Instagram or Twitter, you are inviting total strangers into your everyday life. People are naturally nosey and want to know your business so they will follow what you do because it is like catching up on the latest gossip. I bet there is someone out there that knows your daily routine better than yourself, and I would put money on it that you have no idea who.

With the internet making an abundance of information easily accessible we really need to pay close attention to what we post and publish for all to see. If you care about your privacy at all it might be best to skip on “checking in” to every single place you visit, posting when you are off to work and then on your way back home. Honestly, if you really want to protect your privacy, keep all your information off the internet if you can. There are those of us, actually, most of us including bloggers that put our information out there so that we may reach and relate to our target crowds, or we have social media accounts to “stay in touch” with distant friends and family. Those who are actively engaged online needs to keep their security of information in mind because you never know who may be following you.

On a side note, don’t post anything to social media that you wouldn’t be willing to show your boss or future boss because let’s face it. More than likely they will do a google search on you to see what you are like if the job market is competitive enough. People are under this facade that they are invisible online, that they are protected and safe because they are just behind the keyboard. Well being behind the keyboard on a computer is just the same as posting flyers everywhere with your name on it, and it could cost you something great. Stay safe my friends. Don’t Meddle.

Better

I just want something better. I want something better for my family. I don’t want just some ordinary 9 to 5 lifestyle. Life is too short for that. I want to always be improving my standard of living and I don’t want to slide back and I sure as hell don’t want to stagnate. The ordinary robs us of our true joy, we are not some machine that is supposed to repeat the same thing over and over. We are meant to have extraordinary lives. To experience the greatness and beauty this world has to offer.

It doesn’t help that we was media that only wants to report what is popular, what ultimately will make them the most money no matter hoeuch they have to exaggerate and twist the truth. It makes me sick, I just want to leave it all behind. People are blinded by media, and their view forced on us, and it turns us against each other. It causes us to divide and causes strife. I am heartbroken for my daughter that this is the work she is coming into. Thinking about it drive Spike in my heart. I just hope that she can be better than the rest of the world and have a positive impact in our society. Rant over.
